“Alison (the) End” (Alison M. Endy, 1956-1980) and Mick Cancer of the Sic Kidz, debut performance, at the Hot Club, 2/16/79. In 1977, local rock critic Michael Ferguson wrote a spoof concert review about an outrageous (and fictitious) punk band that performed songs with titles like “Eating Dog Food Out of a Can.” About two years later, Ferguson made that band a reality and performed the complete concert that he’d earlier imagined in print.
